Some people believe the aim of university education is to help graduates get better jobs. Others believe there are much wider benefits of university education for both individuals and society.

One of the conspicuous necessity for people in the 21st century is university education. It is believed by many that gaining university education is vital for graduates to have well-paid jobs.  However, others are belief of that university education offers broader benefits for both persons and their societies. In the following paragraphs two points of view will be discussed before giving my personal opinion.

Today, majority of  people  are trying to matriculate to universities in order to secure good jobs in their future. In fact, because of tough competitions in job markets, companies are employing only productive and skilled workers with university backgrounds for good positions. This is the main reason why most  people are endeavouring to apply for universities. Therefore, many support the idea of enrolling universities for getting better jobs.

However, there are other group of people who recognize a large range of positives of university education for persons and society where they live in. For example, personal qualities like ethics and morals, communication skills, and social benifits like being employed or leadership skills  can be acquired by students during university life. It is obvious when looking at this example that there are many advantages of higher education for graduates and simultaneously for the community. Thus, it is clear why others gravitate of this perception.

According to the above analysis of variety benifits of university education for both individuals and society, it seems to me that pros of higher education are more than we think of. Therefore, I support the second point of view which states  university education brings more benifits in favour of individuals as well as society.
